Christmas Kid Friendly Activities

Christmas with kiddos is waaaaaaay different than Christmas without. The online shopping becomes necessary instead of convenient, the colder temperatures keeping us inside are tricky and then school lets out and (speaking for myself) I have no idea how to keep them entertained 24/7!

It’s a season of crazy and wonderful and I’ve created a few holiday-themed activity sheets ready for your littles. Grab your crayons, glitter and scissors (for the grown ups) and let’s make some adorable memories!

Hot Cocoa Bar (Coloring + Treat Activity)

Pick your favorite recipe page, color and make your hot cocoa and pile on the couch to watch the favorite family Christmas movie or take it to go and check out Starry Nights or the Christmas lights in the neighborhood!

Nutcracker Zoo Ornaments (Coloring + Decorating Activity)

Does your playroom have a tree? Mine does! And it’s definitely not fit for the breakable ornaments (because they’re at risk and because it’s a kid tree!) what’s more perfect for a kiddo tree than kid decorated ornaments?

I printed these on some light card stock from the local craft store and they did great! I didn’t have super high hopes for them surviving toddler life, but they’re still hanging on the tree and Jack likes to go back and point to his artwork.. it’s pretty adorable.

Playing Santa (Printable Tags)

Even though the class does a big gift for our teachers at Mother’s Day Out, I like to throw in a little something to thank them for taking care of our little human tornado. These printable tags are the perfect little bit of color for teachers! This year, I’ll be doing some small teachers gifts and little gifts for neighbors.

I usually like to bake my own goodies, but with two littles I have a feeling I’ll be heading to 17Berkshire for treats instead!! The recipients will be very happy we’re upping our baked goods game. Pictured here, macarons from 17Berkshire.

Christmas Recipe Cards (Baking)

I think Jack’s going to be old enough this year to help with some baking in the kitchen (for Jack’s cookies only) and I’m pretty excited!!

I designed some colorful kid-friendly recipe cards to jot down some of the favorite cookie recipes we have found over the years. The printable deck can be printed at home on 8.5”x11” copy paper or light card stock from the local craft store, cut them out and fill them with yummy recipes.
